Despite being embroiled in a contentious dispute with ex-husband Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie radiated elegance at the 2024 Tony Awards.
Jolie, accompanied by her 15-year-old daughter Vivienne, attended the 77th Tony Awards at Lincoln Center in New York, with both wearing stunning green outfits.
Jolie’s eye-catching, floor-length dress and new hair color sparked a range of reactions online. It seems people always have something to say.
Amid the ongoing drama with Pitt, Jolie and Vivienne were all smiles at the awards.
Vivienne wore a chic green suit, while Jolie stole the show in a flowing velvet gown of sea-foam green. The dress featured a draped, off-the-shoulder neckline and intricate ruching, highlighting Jolie’s natural beauty.
Complementing her look with neutral makeup and gold hoop earrings, Jolie’s red carpet appearance was dubbed “a united mother-daughter fashion moment” by Vogue Magazine on Instagram.
Fashion designer Donatella Versace also shared a picture of the duo, revealing that Jolie had significant creative input in designing the dress back in 2013. Versace praised Jolie, saying, “You look so beautiful. I love that you celebrate Atelier Versace craftsmanship.”
As always, Jolie’s look sparked online debate. While some fans praised her dress and hair, others were more critical.
“That is one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen,” one fan commented.
“Angelina looks so stunning with honey blonde hair,” another added.
Others were less complimentary, comparing her dress to heavy curtains.
“Did she strip her windows of curtains?”, one follower wrote.
Despite mixed reviews, the evening was a triumph for Jolie, who won her first Tony as a producer for the musical The Outsiders.
The production garnered four awards, including Outstanding Lighting Design, Outstanding Lighting Design of a Musical, Outstanding Sound Design of a Musical, and Best Direction of a Musical.
Vivienne, recognized as a producer’s assistant, also earned praise for her role.
