Meghan McCain recently shared her opinion on Jennifer Lopez, addressing the negative commentary that has surrounded the singer and actress over the past few weeks. McCain, a conservative commentator and former co-host on “The View,” discussed the intense media scrutiny Lopez has faced, particularly rumors of an impending divorce from her husband, Ben Affleck. These rumors were further fueled when Lopez canceled her upcoming “This Is Me… Live” tour.

“I actually feel bad now because I feel like we’re turning a point where there’s bullying happening to J.Lo, and I don’t want to add to that,” McCain said in the latest episode of her podcast, “Citizen McCain.” Despite her reluctance, she recounted her personal experience with Lopez, describing her as “a deeply unpleasant person.”

McCain recalled an instance when Lopez appeared on “The View,” saying, “She was just not nice. It was surprising because people like Kim Kardashian couldn’t be more delightful. When you’re on a show for a 10-minute segment… just fake it for 10 minutes.”

Additionally, McCain alleged that Lopez and her legal team had a “Citizen McCain” TikTok about the singer removed after it briefly went viral. “But then it got put back up. She had it taken down for terms of violation for bullying… allegedly!” McCain shared.

The video, published in April, featured Meghan McCain discussing her negative interactions with Jennifer Lopez.

“I have a bad J.Lo story too. She came on ‘The View’ many times as a guest, not my favorite. Not my favorite,” McCain said in the viral clip, which amassed over 2 million views. “Some of the biggest celebrities I’ve ever met, I mean, giant celebrities, have maybe one publicist with them. Jennifer Lopez has more people traveling with her than the president. I’m not kidding.”

McCain also shared an unusual anecdote about one of Lopez’s employees…

“I’m going to get in so much trouble for this, but my big memory of J.Lo is there was a person whose entire job was to hold up a mirror with lights while they were touching her up backstage,” she recalled. “I remember thinking, ‘That poor man. What a weird job. He probably went to art school or something and had dreams of being a musician, and he’s like, ‘I hold J.Lo’s light.’”

Rumors surrounding Lopez and Affleck continue to gain steam as the couple has quietly listed their $60.8 million home on the market. They purchased the Beverly Hills home only a year ago, in May 2023.

This news came amid speculation that the couple is gearing up to split. In May, a source commented that they are “continuing to take space from each other,” and another source claimed they were “going through some problems.”

Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance in 2021 after twenty years apart, marrying in a Las Vegas ceremony attended only by them and their children. They later held a ceremony in Georgia. Despite the separation rumors, the couple has made no comments and even appeared together at Ben Affleck’s daughter Violet’s high school graduation ceremony.

There seems to be a lot of negative press surrounding Jennifer Lopez, both personally and professionally. What do you think of McCain’s comments on the singer? Share this with others who might find this take interesting as well.
