Queen Camilla has exacted her “perfect” revenge on Meghan Markle, according to a royal expert.

Meghan Markle’s time as a senior member of the royal family had its share of highs and lows. Initially beloved by the public, tensions arose when she and Prince Harry stepped back from their roles. The Sussexes leveled accusations against royal family members, and reports suggest they’ve shown little interest in reconciliation.

The once-promising relationship between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle soured over time, posing implications for the monarchy’s future. Queen Camilla reportedly made efforts to support Meghan’s adjustment to royal life.

However, everything took a turn for the worse when Meghan allegedly broke a promise to the Queen.

Today, Camilla and Meghan are undoubtedly not close to being somewhere near friends. Now, the queen appears to have gotten her ‘perfect revenge’ on Harry’s wife.

Meghan Markle’s integration into the royal family was initially viewed favorably. Welcoming a new member brought anticipation of the benefits her American heritage, as a former Suits star, could bring. The Duchess garnered public favor.

However, sentiments shifted dramatically when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to depart from the royal fold.

Queen Camilla wanted to help Meghan Markle settle into royal life

Upon Meghan’s initial foray into royal life, her rapport with the family, including Queen Elizabeth II and Kate Middleton, appeared harmonious. Notably, she developed a close bond with Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

Meghan Markle and Queen Camilla shared a significant commonality as newcomers to the royal fold, fostering a strong connection. It was reported that they mutually agreed to demonstrate respect toward each other, extending even to their engagements.

Camilla endeavored to assist Meghan in acclimating to her royal role. Prior to Meghan’s marriage to Harry, Camilla extended an invitation to a private luncheon, where she shared her own experiences with media scrutiny post-Princess Diana’s passing and offered advice on managing pressure.

Furthermore, Camilla advised Meghan to concentrate on the positive aspects of her royal duties and to persevere through any negative media attention that might arise, as per reports by the Daily Mail.

Charles was said to have offered similar advice to Harry.

According to a friend, Queen Camilla exhibited a high level of sensitivity towards Meghan. However, Meghan’s sentiments appeared different. In an ITV documentary, she expressed feeling neglected, stating, “Not many people have asked if I’m OK.”

The friend mentioned Meghan’s gratitude towards Camilla, who offered substantial support and arranged private lunches, especially around the time of Meghan’s wedding. Camilla empathized with Meghan’s transition from a “normal” life to royal duties.

Both Meghan and Camilla faced adverse media scrutiny due to their relationships within the royal family. Despite Camilla’s supportive advice to weather the storm, Meghan seemingly did not heed it.

A palace aide highlighted Camilla’s understanding of transitioning from ordinary life to royalty. Camilla’s efforts to make newcomers feel welcome and assist them in settling into royal life have been longstanding.

In November 2019, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry attended their first official engagement with Camilla, shortly after announcing plans to step back from royal duties. Camilla reportedly displayed considerable support for the couple during this time.

Sources indicated that Camilla genuinely cares for Meghan’s well-being and dislikes seeing anyone struggle.

Camilla was left upset after Meghan Markle ‘stole the spotlight’

Queen Camilla’s understanding and empathy towards Meghan Markle were shaped not only by their shared experience of marrying into the royal family but also by their shared encounters with negative media coverage.

She offered guidance to Meghan akin to how Charles supported Harry. However, an action by Meghan ultimately deeply upset Camilla.

In 2020, Camilla was slated to participate in the 10th Anniversary of the Women of the World festival, where she was scheduled to deliver a significant speech. Reports suggested that Meghan assured not to overshadow the event.

According to The Mirror, Camilla and her team meticulously planned the event over a year. However, Meghan’s presence ended up stealing the spotlight, much to Camilla’s dismay.

“Camilla’s commitment to her work, particularly her decision to address the issue of domestic violence at the 10th anniversary of Women of the World, was a meticulously considered endeavor,” disclosed a royal insider.

While it was known that Harry and Meghan would be engaged in activities that week, including private ones, it was widely agreed that Camilla’s speech would take precedence. Regrettably, conflicting priorities emerged.

Meghan was accused of diverting attention from Camilla by releasing images of herself at the event on the same day. Despite Buckingham Palace’s efforts to redirect focus onto Camilla, the Daily Mail reported that royal correspondents remained fixated on Meghan.

Queen Camilla’s “perfect revenge” on Meghan Markle

Camilla and Meghan’s relationship soured following the Sussexes’ departure from the royal family. Reports emerged that Camilla had requested Harry to leave a meeting with his father, King Charles, after he received a cancer diagnosis, indicating underlying tensions.

Recently, Camilla seems to have found a form of retribution against Meghan, particularly evident from a royal engagement in 2020.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had previously signed a significant deal with Spotify. However, the arrangement turned into a debacle when Meghan’s Archetypes podcast was terminated, leading to the cancellation of their entire Spotify deal.

Meanwhile, Queen Camilla has carved out a notable presence in the podcast realm. In 2021, she launched The Duchess of Cornwall’s Reading Room, a highly successful initiative during the pandemic, featuring book recommendations and discussions.

Renamed as The Queen’s Reading Room, it will host a one-day festival at Hampton Court Palace on June 8, described by The Sun as “bigger and better” than its inaugural event.

Camilla’s podcast has garnered acclaim, showcasing her ability to attract prominent figures from the arts, as noted by Ingrid Seward of Majesty Magazine.

Denise Palmer Davies, a brand expert, views Camilla’s podcast success as a form of “perfect revenge” on Meghan and Harry, particularly given the criticisms leveled at Camilla by Harry in the past.

However, Camilla is unlikely to publicly comment on Meghan or Harry, as noted by Ingrid Seward, who describes the Queen as too polite to engage in such discourse. Camilla remains focused on her endeavors, seemingly unperturbed by Meghan’s actions or opinions.
