Robert De Niro goes gangster on mob of angry protesters who said ‘your movies suck’.

Before launching a full-out attack on a critic who attacked him personally and professionally, Robert De Niro fired a warning shot, which was not received.

The star of The Godfather, who’s outspoken with his political affiliation, was recently challenged to a verbal brawl by Donald Trump supporters. And De Niro, calling protesters “gangsters,” refused to back down from the Little Fockers who ruffled his feathers.

With a career that spans over six decades, New York native Robert De Niro has cemented his status as one of the most influential actors of his generation.

At 80 years old, De Niro remains an iconic figure, having first risen to prominence with his role as the young Vito Corleone in The Godfather Part II (1974). His exceptional talent has led to immense success across various film genres, including crime, comedy, and drama.

In 1984, De Niro’s influence extended into music when the girl group Bananarama released the song “Robert De Niro’s Waiting,” which dominated the charts for 12 consecutive weeks.

‘This is the time’

At the end of May, the outspoken Democrat appeared outside the Manhattan courtroom where Donald Trump’s hush money trial was taking place.

The star of The Intern, who recently voiced an ad for the current President, was attending a Joe Biden campaign event outside the court.

Using his platform, De Niro urged people to vote against Trump in the upcoming presidential election, claiming Trump wants to “destroy not only the city, but the country.”

“We’ve forgotten the lessons of history that showed us other clowns who weren’t taken seriously until they became vicious dictators,” De Niro told reporters outside the courthouse. “With Trump we have a second chance, and no one is laughing now. This is the time to stop him by voting him out once and for all.”

He added, “I don’t mean to scare you. No, wait, maybe I do mean to scare you. If [Trump] gets in, I can tell you right now, he will never leave.”

‘You are gangsters’

Not everyone shared his sentiments, and he was met by a mob of angry Trump supporters who hurled criticisms his way.

Attempting to defend himself, the Raging Bull star responded, “You’re not going to intimidate, that’s what Trump does, to try f***ing intimidate. We have to fight back.”

According to the Associated Press, Trump’s senior campaign adviser, Jason Miller, retorted by calling the multiple Oscar-winning De Niro “a washed-up actor.”

“We’re trying to be gentlemen in this world. You are gangsters! You are gangsters!” fired back the father of eight.

Among the frenzied hecklers, another voice shouted, “Robert De Niro! You’re a little punk… you’re a nobody! Your movies suck!”

Seconds later, as the actor was escorted through the mob, he could be heard shouting a well-deserved, “F**k you.”

Celebrities should not be expected to be gracious when confronted by judgmental people, and we hope his response serves as a reminder that they, too, are human.
