Tiffany Floyd stopped at a Burger King drive-thru in Western New York for a quick meal with her four-year-old daughter, expecting a simple outing.
However, the experience turned sour when her daughter mistook something on her meal for “ketchup,” leading to a distressing discovery…
“Today I went to Burger King by my house,” Floyd shared in a TikTok video.
After her daughter handed back the kid’s meal, complaining of ketchup, Floyd inspected the bag.
“I thought they had messed up our order,” she explains. “But then I saw there was blood all over.”
Floyd initially thought it was ketchup as well, but a closer look confirmed it was blood. She immediately called the restaurant, where a manager revealed an employee had cut their hand before packing her food.
“He was so nonchalant, and I was livid,” Floyd recounted, noting the manager offered a refund if she returned.
Following this, Floyd contacted the local health department and filed a report…

But she was informed that little could be done. Burger King acknowledged the incident, closing the Gettzville location for deep cleaning and employee retraining.
Despite these measures, Floyd remains troubled.
Her daughter now fears eating, worried about finding blood in her food again, and requires monthly bloodwork.
Floyd’s video, viewed over six million times, aims to alert not only those who visited the Gettzville location on July 27 but also anyone who might eat from a fast food bag without checking.
“You open the bag up and start eating without even looking. I just want other people to check their food, too,” she urges, emphasizing the importance of scrutinizing fast food before consuming it.
